African feathered headdresses

(I first saw a feathered African headdress in singer Vanessa Carlton's Manhattan loft featured in In Style, September 2005 (I can't believe I've kept a tear sheet that long!) and have been coveting one ever since. It is neat to know that such an unusual item, for one's home, has an enduring quality, as noted above. The first photograph was recently taken from a blog site at a time when I was collecting photographs for my own personal inspiration and when I wasn't aspiring to blog, so sadly cannot give appropriate credit. The latter, however, was taken from Elle Decor, April 2008. Photograph by Roger Davies.)

News Flash!!

(It is reported that Kate Moss' collection will be available at Target's Go International Collection! Can't wait...read all the details at Fabsugar. P.S. Sorry, the photograph is so memorizing I had to post it.)

Madonnarama!

(Vanity Fair's May 2008 Cover story about Madonna is now available on line. Written by Rich Cohen. Photographs by Steven Meisel. Provocative reading. Of the music business, she states “Well, there’s one thing you can’t download and that’s a live performance. And I know how to put on a show, and enjoy performing, and I’ll always have that.” It is rumored that Madonna will celebrate her 50th Birthday in August with a show in New York City. Aeroplan miles have been set aside!)

Inspirational Art

(
Love Made Visible recently posted these amazing artworks from James Welling's flower series, a Los Angeles based artist. Absolutely captivating! I couldn't resist sharing them. Tks, LMV)
