(a Canadian Photographer (Chris Nicholls), a Canadian model (Heather Marks) shot for a Canadian magazine (Flare)... talk about national talent! I soooo love these images. Ms Marks looks so different, her make-up and the styling is fantastic. Check out that coat, with raccoon fur trim, matched with a silk/ostrich-feathered dress and the boots... (Couldn't resist posting this photograph discovered via Scout Holiday...her make-up, hair and accessories, not to mention the plaid collar of the coat is so irresistible!)
(Exquisite textile designs by Astrid de Saint Anthost, founder of Le Studio Anthost. Schooled in both Conneticut and Paris, where she studied art and design. In Paris, she formed the basis of her craft while working with Gianfranco Ferre' and John Galliano at Dior, Alexander Mc Queen at Givenchy and Christian Lacroix. Le Studio Anthost fabrics have graced the runway creations of renowned designers such as Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang, to name a few.)
(Nature-based mixed media works on paper and collagraph prints by Canadian Artist, Ann McCall. Moods swing from a warm sun-filled corner of a given work to a tempestuous rainy corner in another. Source, discovered via House and Home, October 2008.)
(Since discovering Record The Day via This is Glamorous, I can't get enough of this talented blogger, Lobster and Swan. Her ability to pair images, creating these inspirational and gorgeous photo collages is absolutely amazing!)
(I don't know where to start... this amazing print is from Toronto artist Ian Amell, represented by Tinku Gallery in Toronto, Canada. Ian's print is one of a collection carefully edited by gallery owner Tinku. If you are in search of a blog that has all the writings of an intelligent, eloquent and warmly insightful individual, I strongly encourage you to read Tinku's blog. Not only will you be kept abreast of emerging Canadian artists represented by her, you'll also get to know more about art and the gallery owner herself. As for the artist, Ian Amell, the limited edition print above is one of a collection currently available for purchase. Hmmm...a wonderful Christmas present for a special someone, n'est pas?)
(Thanks so much for visiting my blog and have a wonderful weekend! P.S. Isn't the floor gorgeous? I couldn't choose between the photographs. Source, here.)
